The harnesses here are soft-vest rather than strap-only, which spreads the pressure across the chest instead of concentrating it at the throat. The difference is most obvious with a dog that lunges at things.

Only for the surfaces paws struggle with: hot pavement, ice, and polished floors at home. If none of those come up on your walk, skip them. The grip socks are the indoor version of the same problem.

Bags. A walk goes wrong in predictable ways — something rubs, something pulls, or you run out of bags — and the holder that clips to the lead is the unglamorous fix for the third one.
